Welcome to the home page for the Cambridge Hash House Harriers.

For those new to hashing, more information about the Hash House Harriers can be found on the Global Trash home page. To cut a long story short, we are a drinking club with a running problem. If you think you would enjoy a non-competitive run around the local countryside, followed by a beer or two in a local hostelry afterwards, hashing may be for you.

The Cambridge hash meets every Sunday throughout the year, starting at 11am sharp, so to avoid being left behind arrive at about 10.45 am.

For how it all started, check out the Hashtory. New runners and visitors are especially welcome, just turn up at the run venue at 10.45am. Please bring clean shoes to change into if it looks like shiggy weather. The run cost is still £2 (GB pounds).

How to Lay a Trail

Thanks to deliverence we now have a link to some instructions on how to lay a trail. Future Hares please check out How to Lay a Trail before setting out to rece the trail.

For the more cybeer orientated Hares there's a Map your run thingy which might help you ensure that your trail isn't too long - although an easier guide is to keep within four squares on the oS map!

Cuming Runs

Where indicated you can click on Pub and Village for Location Map.

In some cases an arrow may point to the actual pub or else random spot nearby! Larger or smaller scale maps can be viewed by using the "Zoom" button at the bottom of the map.

More Local Hashing

If once a week is not enough for you, you could always try the Monday night Cantabrigensis H3, the UK's first university hash. These brainy sods have now revised their website which is well worth a visit. If you need more information you can also email Underwear.

Townies and students alike run at 7pm every week from the St Radegund Pub in King Street, Cambridge. (Click for map). This hash is mismanaged by Terry 'Bunter' Kavanagh, the Radegund landlord.

Cantabrigensis runs are usually free, but there may be an entry fee for special events held from time to time.

Even More Local Hashing

If Monday comes too soon after Sunday, you could join the new Wrestlers Hash. They run at 7pm on the 3rd Thursday in each month. Check the Wrestlers website for details - although recently the link to the Hash details isn't working.

Bashing

Feeling guilty about spending too much time hashing? Try spending some time bashing, that is to say hashing on bikes. CRABs, the Cambridge Randomly Active Bash, is er.. randomly active, but there is usually one or two bashes a month. More information and details of their cumming runs can be found at CRAB's Website

For all bashes, a suitably robust bike is required.

Other Local Hashes and Useless Links

If you are in the area, here are some pointers to run lists for other local hashes:

First UK Full Moon H3

Bicester H3

London Hashes.

The UK Hash database

Check out Interhash 2008 on the Perth website - yes they got it eventually, 3rd time lucky!

Visit the Mojacar HHH website for details of The Brigadier's annual sunshine hash in Southern Spain.

If you've had the pleasure of Hashing in Indonesia then you must check out the IndoNostalgia HHH website and join them on their next run.

The Milton Brewery, can't be bothered to run in order to work up a thirst? Take a virtual tour of our local brewery instead, guaranteed to get you in the mood for a pint or two.

What's on in Cambridge, a local website giving details of all sorts of stuff, cinemas, pubs, theatres, pubs, events, pubs but no reference to hashing!

If you fancy a laugh on a wet afternoon, check out what Fannyrat got up to in Saudi and Oman before he joined CH3.

We also have a link to the Worldwide Hash Directory so you can use the form at the bottom of this page to search for any Hash, anywhere.
